Easter

Another late one but better late than....well, you know. Easter was loads of fun. Rori was in a dress and tights for the first time and kept them pretty clean all day long!

Once she got the hand of hide and seek the funny colored objects, the day was a lot of fun.

Paris in March!

It has been several months since I have sat down to post pictures and stories to the blog. The family took a working vacation to Paris....France that is....in March. Rori was a great traveler, we found that she cried less than we did about the plane flight;-) We were there for 10 days, 7 of which were spent "god aweful" sick in the hotel room with some sort of flu. The upside was the health care. Within an hour of calling the front desk for a doctor we had an English speaking mobile doc in our room, and 7 prescription from the local plarmacy in 15 minutes. The price was very reasonable as well. If this is how gov't run health care goes...I'm all for it! A little blurry but the statue of liberty...little one...and Eiffel Tower in the background.

We did push ourselves to see the sights. The Eiffel Tower was spectacular at night and one of Dusti's favorites. We didn't wait in the line to ascend the beast because it was too cold and we all had snotty noses. Pat's favorite attraction was the Louvre. Althought the art was great, Dusti found more fun in people watching after several hours of looking at art. Since it is an international city, she found more art in the dress and culture. Pat actually got off work early one day and managed to locate us in the vast array of art and people...it was a total fluke without cell phones.

We also visited Napolean's Tomb and the red light district where we tried to catch a show at the Moulin Rouge but babies under 2 were not allowed. Perhaps that was best. Since then I have learend that the Can-Can dancers go comando under the dresses in France.....hhhhmmm. We spent some time at Notre Dame and several other magnificent Catholic churches. The architecture was unrivaled to anything found in the US.

We learned enough french to navigate the city and found the locals to be very helpful and friendly...we think Robug/baby cakes had a little to do with that. She was our front of the line ticket to the Louvre, subway system and local restaurants. We took hilarious video of one subway train we took to the red light district at rush hour. When me finally managed to get off the with stroller, the next group of folks to board we sooooo packed in that one dude almost got his nose cut off by the doors and his face smashed against the window! It was pretty funny to see them shoved in there worse than cattle!

Don't think we will be traveling abroad anytime again soon. That was a huge....never ending ocean we had to cross.'-)

Trip to Colorado

Hello friends,
During our trip to Colorado we spent some time in Estes Park, the Denver Zoo and visited CSU. Rori seemed more involved with her bottle and the walkway railing than the animals but we had a good time showing her the animals!

Going to be a CSU baby! Despite our best efforts, we could not find any baby sized outfits for Rori. Dusti even got ran out of a clothing place in down town Boulder (CU territory) looking for CSU garb...go RAMS!!

It is a bit chilly in Estes Park, CO but I have my camo "huntin for hugs" hat on and am toasty!

Grandpa spent about an hour remembering how to make a paper hat out of newspaper. We all giggled for hours when I wore it!

FOOD FIGHT!

Hello everyone!!

I have been so busy the last 2 months I have forgotten to post my latest pictures. Mom and Papa have been working diligently on their house plans. They would like to break ground by the end of the year, but time is ticking. Papa was almost sent to the Netherlands for work and Mom and I was supposed to tag along but the trip was canceled...bummer.

We spent this week in Colorado visiting friends and enjoying the front range....Go Rams! We enjoyed the Denver Zoo, Estes Park, Boulder shopping (They don't have any CSU stuff there) and papa went snow boarding with friends at A Basin. We even stopped by Mom's alma mater for a picture! The weather was great at 70 degrees, almost forgot why we left...until a snow storm blew in just as we were flying out;-)

On our way home drove to Phoenix for our friend Amanda's wedding. It was the first time I met her so we snapped a picture.

Looking forward to my first Thanksgiving and Christmas....as I have my grubby little paws into everything! I will post pictures of the zoo and wedding soon.

Roosevelt Lake Trip

I'm 7 months old now and trying to crawl!

My family decided to take a trip to Roosevelt lake before the summer heat let up! I got to hang out on the Prentice boat with my Ants, Uncle and cousins! We camped in a tent, swam and Mom and Dad even wakeboarded behind the pontoon boat. Take a look at a few pictures we took along the way.

Wow! These shots are one in a hundred...everyone's looking at the camera and smiling ;-)

Mom and I are hangin' out on the boat in the shade. I usually have a bib on to keep my shirt from being saturated but it served as evaporative cooling...it was only 114 degrees out!

Long overdue update

Hello Babycakes here...aka Rori!

I've been so busy growing, laughing and playing lately that I haven't posted any new pictures. Mom and Papa have all sorts of nicknames for me....Rori J, Robox, and RoJo, but my favorite is Babycakes!


Dad and Mom are always on the go and we hardly ever slow down to smell the dirty diapers. Papa is in Death Valley right now working in the sweltering heat. He did get a chance to go skiing at Havasu for some fun. Mom and I are planning a trip of Columbus, Ohio next week for some continuing education....something about horse feet. When we all get back home the first item on the agenda is to make the molds of my hands and feet before I grow out of the casting material! The engineer and the doctor have been intimidated on mixing the quick drying molding material and have been putting off the molds for some time.

I took a trip to Phoenix for a friend's wedding and stopped by to see Doug. He even let me hang out on the scooter!

I was getting ready for my bath when mom put this ridiculous wash rag on my head then started dancing around like a moron. Guess what...out came the camera.

I've started wearing/eating rice cereal and can't wait to shove peas in my ears!

We do take some time to sleep and snuggle ;-)

You'll notice I have one foot out of my onsie. Papa loves to play with my feet! Mom took an opportune time to snap a pic while we were snoozin'

Rori Laughs

Pat, Dusti and Rori are having so much fun together!!! We took some pictures on Friday the 13th. ....she is 2 months old now. She is starting to smile and laugh a bit and give us endless hours of joy and entertainment. We can't decide who she looks more like.
She is holding her head up, laughing and starting to sleep through the night. Oh she is growing so fast!!
